Old Business: Field Parking lot gate was approved by Park Superintendent. A new gate was purchased by DPRC and installed. Thank you to Jake Krancic, Bernie Kahne,
and Ron Atchley for installing the gate and also for moving the guard rail pieces from the perimeter so the park can clear the brush.
New Business: Suggestion by Jim Krancic to install a new flight-line fence by using galvanized poles and cabling which will make it easier to mow the grass at the fence line.
Ron Atchley requested comments on the best time of day to conduct the club
monthly meetings. It was decided that 6:00 pm would be the meeting time.

Spring is here and we will be having our first DPRC FLYERS meeting in 2022. The meeting will be Wednesday May 11, 2022 at the DPRCF field-shelter in Matthiessen Park. The meeting will start at 6:00pm and there will be flying before the meeting.

Old Business: Captain Krancic and Ron Atchley meet with superintendent Alvin Harper and
Tracey Sons, Park Promotions. Alvin Harper thanked Captain Krancic and Ron Atchley for the DPRCF club keeping our end of the park looking very good.
New Business: Replacement of the flight line fence from the parking lot and extending across the field was discussed at an approximate cost of $300 to $400 dollars. A unanimous vote was taken to replace the fence.
Mower maintenance; replacing the deck wheels will need to be done.

The addition of the rock climb and the afternoon shelter is tabled for now and will be discussed at our future meetings in the spring. We will need to conduct a survey of our surrounding area to confirm that there is an interest in developing this type of activity. Since we a lucky enough to have Dynamic Balsa Hobby Shop in our area, we may be able to start the survey there.
Additional signage and approval will be needed for our designated areas, such as Flyers Only, No Dogs Allowed, and others, open for suggestion.

Old Business: Thank you to Ron Atchley and Jake Krancic and Dennis Seibert for keeping the field clean and grass cut and to those who helped install the field Pedestrian Warning Signs to keep the Sunflower visitors safe. Thanks to Lowell for putting together our promotional tree which is doing well.
New Business: A request for the interest in having the DPRC picnic and participating in the Try-Club picnic was brought up. A vote was taken to not participate this year due to the virus.
Flying has been suspended at our field. The Park is closed and at the moment there is not a clear time frame for clearing the storm damage and reopening the park.
Captain Jake Krancic advised IVRC invited our members to use their field until ours can be reopened.
Our next meeting will be September 9, 2020 and notice will be sent as to when and where it will be held.

Old Business: Lowell Beenenga advised the the DePue concession sold almost all that was purchased. Our Club would like to thank those members who volunteered to help make it a success; Dave Duffey, Lowell Beenenga, Randy Bond, Don Tabor, Dennis Seibert.
New Business: Captain Krancic suggested a fund raiser in place of the fly-in breakfast to obtain funds to support the club. Lowell Beenenga reviewed a fund raiser to sell a lottery ticket tree. He agreed to over see the program and put it together for the club. A motion to do this was made by Captain Krancic and 2nd by Don Tabor.
Two bids were received by Lowell Beenenga for trim to complete the gable on the shelter. A bid from Home Depot at $22.00/10 foot section was accepted and we will need at least 3 sections. A vote was taken and approved to complete the gable. Lowell advised he would pickup the trim.
A vote was taken and approved to have the Club Picnic On Sunday September 15, 2019. Participants will need to bring their own meat and a dish to pass.
Streator field will be open to DPRC members next month during Quail season when our field will possibly be closed.
